The Travellers Distillery
Hand Crafted
There is something captivating about the region and the building that drew Jill Jepson and Sean McCarthy to acquire the business in 2020 when it came up for sale. The building is brimming with historic features that showcase the pub’s 88-year legacy. Fueled by imagination and ambitious plans, Jepson and McCarthy soon steered the establishment into its next chapter; transforming the former basement keg room into a distillery and tasting room.
It is fitting that vodka first appeared in a recipe book and became a staple of the Golden Age of Cocktails in the 1930s and 1940s. Inspired by this era, our spirits are meticulously hand-crafted on site using local ingredients to bring the essence of Gippsland to your palate. Oh, and don't forget to inquire about the Drunks' Room!
Our Range
Our bottles of vodka draw their character from the rich heritage of 1937, the year the building you are standing in was constructed. The design of these bottles is a celebration of that wonderful era, reflecting the elegance and craftsmanship of the time.
Each bottle embodies the spirit of history and tradition, making them not just a container for our exquisite vodka, but a piece of art that pays homage to the past.
